Deleting your Kroky account
Here you can delete your Kroky account and the data linked to it. You do not need to sign in. Access to the phone number the account is registered to is enough.
How to delete your account
- 1Enter the phone number your account is registered to and tap “Get the code”.
- 2Enter the four-digit code from the SMS and tap “Confirm code”.
- 3Tick the confirmation and tap “Delete account”.
You can do the same in the app: Profile → Delete account.
What gets deleted
Your profile: first name, last name, phone number, email address and photo.
Private tasks, events and reminders (the ones you never shared with anyone), together with their comments and attachments.
Your contact list and groups, plus your entries in other people's contact lists.
Invitations, invite links, task access requests, comment reactions and your entire notification feed.
Uploaded files and photos, physically removed from storage.
Devices, sign-in sessions and push notification subscriptions.
What is kept
Tasks and events you shared with other people stay in their calendars, otherwise their plans would disappear too. You are shown as “Anonymous”, without your name, phone number or photo.
The text of your comments in those tasks, also signed “Anonymous”. Their attachments are deleted.
An anonymised account record: it keeps the surviving tasks and comments from losing their author. No personal data is left in it.
Crash reports and server logs stay for up to 90 days, then get deleted automatically.
Timeline
Right after you confirm you are signed out on every device and push notifications stop.
For 30 days the deletion can still be cancelled: sign in to the app with a code from SMS and the account is restored.
After 30 days the data is erased from the servers and backups for good, and you disappear from other people's contact lists.
After that the same phone number can be registered again, and it will be a new, empty account.
